Greetings! We will be meeting
Monday April 14th from 1PM to no later than 6:30PM in Greensboro at
the Triad
Center, 7900 Triad Center Drive, Room 129-130.
Directions: I-40, exit at US Route 68 - North
If coming from the west: turn left on 68
If coming from the east: turn right on 68
at first traffic light, turn left onto Triad
Center Drive
veer to the right at first branch - you will
see a large building on the right, the Triad Center
take first
right into the parking lot
enter the building and go to the 3rd door on the right - classroom is
straight ahead
Agenda:
1. Report
on the North Carolina Board meeting held on April 10th.
2. Rick
Rosen will speak about his ideas on the CE Approval Process and the Approved
Provider Process and the rules change proposal he submitted to the NC State
Board.
3. Nancy
Toner Weinberger will speak about key points in her rules change proposal to
the NC State Board.
4. If the
FSMTB has recommendations for an approved provider program ready, we will
discuss those. (Charles Wilkins, NC BMBT Attorney, has stated that this task
force has only just begun and thus we do not expect any recommendations to be
ready at this early date.)
5. We can
prepare a letter of requests to be sent to the NC State Board. One aspect of
this might be to let them know that CE Providers want one approval process
nationally.
6. Discuss
and decide by vote on who should be a member of the Coalition of Massage and
Bodywork CE Instructors
7. Suggestions
for other functions our group might serve in line with our mission statement.
8. Discuss
how often we should meet. (Possibly once every 2 months before or after the
state board meeting? Or less often?)
If you have any items for the agenda, please let me know and I
will add it on.
I do not have the cost of the room rental, but Cindy Loving will
let us know at the meeting how much to chip in. Should not be much since it’s a
half day, and I have $41 left over from the contributions for the room rental
last time to put toward it.
The following persons are attending. Reminder- Please do not use
these emails for any other purpose than conversing about the Coalition
meetings. They are given here so you can arrange rides together.
